Christmas!

Christmas Eve was super rad! So we got to stop working at 1 o clock. Well... Nobody invited any of the missionaries over in our ward for Christmas so we decided to take our talents downtown where we had tons of fun! We had dinner at a fancy little restaurant next to the Spanish Steps. It was super pretty with all the Christmas lights in Centro. We also had permission from President to stay out till 10:30 so we went and saw everything there was to see downtown. Coliseum, Vatican, Piazza Nervona, Piazza del Popolo, Castel Sant Angelo, Trevi, and essentially everything else. Best part was Centro was completely empty because everybody was home doing Christmas parties so the streets were super quiet. Very strange. But super cool. That was a very good Christmas eve.

Christmas day was in the church. The Bishop had a bunch of families over all day and we all played board games, ate meat all day, played ping pong and foosball, opened presents, skyped. It was a gay ol’ time. That evening we also watched Frozen. THAT MOVIE IS AWESOME. Maybe it is because I have not seen a movie in a long time but I really enjoyed it. We were allowed to watch two movies. But... We liked Frozen so much that we watched it twice!

Also. President granted permission for us to run this 10K in Rome Centro called NIKE WE RUN ROME. It is sweet. It goes past Piazza Del Popolo, Circus Maximus, Coliseum, Villa Borghese, and all that jazz. He said we could run it because we said we would make Mormon.org shirts when we ran. I am super excited. The race is New Year’s Eve. And on New Year’s Eve President gave permission for us to go see Romeo and Juliet the musical. Should be pretty cool.

Questions from Ma & Pa:

Were you able to make any teaching appointments this week?
Well... Not really. We did our best. We were able to meet a little bit, twice, with a man named Robert but this week was a bit harder to meet with people. However this whole next week we are pretty busy with stuff to do which will be very nice.

What was your most memorable “Christmas in Italy” experience?
Christmas Eve.

What was your gift from the Vatican Nun?
I am a little bummed. The stuff never came. Either she never sent the stuff or the Italian Postmas robbed it. Who knows?

What are your New Year’s plans?
New Year’s Day we have an appointment in the morning and then I will be running a 10k in centro. I am super excited.

P-Day last week in Villa Borghese.
